This indoor dryer vent is designed to capture the lint from your electric clothes dryer, for those unable to vent to the outside. All types of indoor dryer vents will allow heat and humidity into the room. We recommend the user allow for air circulation and ventilation when operated in confined spaces. This patented double filter system does not use water, eliminating messy cleanups. The stainless steel screen acts as a pre-filter capturing large lint particles, pet hair, etc. and can be cleaned with a sweeping motion of the hand. The polyester filter will capture the finer lint dust and can be vacuumed clean for extended use or replaced when fully loaded with lint. Replacement filters are available in packages of 6, lasting most users up to a year under normal conditions. There is a patent pending “safety vent flap” designed to open, as a reminder to clean the screen and filter. This ducting is designed for various ventilation, circulation, and heating/cooling transfer applications. It features a four-layer design, utilizing heavy-duty flame resistant aluminum foil lining inside. The outer layer uses dual PVC thermoplastic to cover the inner layer, making it more durable and leak-resistant than single-layered ducting. Its steel-wire spiral construction makes the ducting flexible and easy to install in hard to reach places. The ducting includes two stainless steel duct clamps and can be shortened to fit many applications.

Applications

Use this ducting with a duct fan system for various air circulation and ventilation projects like hydroponic grow rooms and tents, bathroom and attic exhausts, heat and cooling routing etc. This ducting can also be used for cooling AV equipment rooms, closets, racks, and cabinets.

The MV-90 is designed for when the vent path takes a 90 degree turn, such as down through the floor, up through the ceiling, or off to the side. -The MV-90 can handle offsets up to 3 inches from center to center. The more accurately you line up the MV-90 with the vent on the back of your dryer, the better the vent path and the further back you can locate your dryer. Normally, the MV-90 requires 5 1/2 inches of clearance behind the dryer. If an obstruction necessitates you locate the MV-90 at the maximum 3 inch offset, then your dryer will need to sit out an additional 3 inches to allow for a bend radius in the transition duct. -Close vent offsets between dryer and wall vent located on same wall as dryer (Offsets between 6-9 inches): The MV-90 can be coupled directly to a standard 4 inch diameter, adjustable, 90 degree elbow which creates a 9 inch offset. See photo below. If your same wall offset is 6 inches, you can use the MV-90 and an elbow, taking advantage of its ability to handle misalignment up to 3 inches. -Same wall offsets greater than 9 inches: Simply mount the MV-90 directly behind your dryer, plug the 90 degree elbow into the wall vent, and measure for the required length of rigid metal pipe between them. Make sure to measure from where the pipe will stop on the MV-90 to the stop on the male end of the rigid metal pipe. -Close vent offsets between dryer and wall vent located on same wall as dryer (Offsets between 0-3 inches): If your same wall offset is between 0 and 3 inches, then the MV-180 is the product for you.
