This lightweight, shock-resistant backup pad is constructed of 3/8″ firm density foam for sanding flat surfaces, and has a 30 degree tapered edge for applications where some flexibility is needed. The 30 degree edge creates a slightly less aggressive cut than a disc pad with a 15 degree tapered edge.
